Only 30 minutes from Kings Canyon National Park, this cozy glamping site is nestled into the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. It offers a quiet reprieve from the bustling city life of Fresno, just 30 miles away. Campers at this site can help themselves to scrumptious goods growing in the meadow gardens. Plus, you have the option to upgrade your experience to include the use of a lovely and landscaped in-ground pool.
This site includes a roomy canvas tent with a queen bed, an outdoor porch decked out with Adirondack chairs, a camp table, and a wood stove. Bring your own bedding or have your host supply it for a small extra cost. Other add-ons include the use of an outdoor kitchen and lounge, outdoor shower, or indoor half bath.
Mystic Mountain Petrified Camp
This glamping site is tucked into the hills above Santa Rosa and the Sonoma Valley. The sunsets that you can enjoy from the tent's extended deck are absolutely gorgeous. It’s a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine after a day touring the nearby vineyards.
This private campsite is on a working farm and you can enjoy the fruits of your host’s labor with fresh produce and eggs from the farm at an extra cost. Mystic Mountain has enough space for 10 people and it is pet friendly. Amenities include firewood, a campfire grill, basic kitchen supplies, and an outdoor shower.
Creekside Paradise
The Creekside Paradise glamping site is located in a very private setting. It sits within the Santa Cruz redwoods, just adjacent to the peaceful Browns Creek. There’s plenty of hiking trails, wineries, and breweries to explore within a short drive of camp. Plus, the stunning Santa Cruz beaches are only 15 minutes away. The site accommodates four campers and requires a short hike from the parking area, through the forest, to the campsite. Rest and relaxation await.
Hidden Trails Campsite
This private glamping site is situated on a private ranch north of Lake Tahoe and is a wonderful choice for mountain bikers. There are over 30 miles of trails on the property and the host offers mountain bike and ATV tours for an additional cost. The site sleeps six campers and dogs and children are welcome.
J Tree Boulder Garden
Camping in Joshua Tree National Park is notoriously difficult to score so thankfully there are some pleasant camping options right outside the park. The J Tree Boulder Campground offers barebones camping just five minutes from the south entrance of the park. Just be warned that a five-minute walk is required to reach the campsite so you’ll have to carry your camping gear from the parking area. Other than that, this is a convenient child and pet-friendly camping option near Joshua Tree.
