This site includes a roomy canvas tent with a queen bed, an outdoor porch decked out with Adirondack chairs, a camp table, and a wood stove. The site accommodates four campers and requires a short hike from the parking area, through the forest, to the campsite. Rest and relaxation await.

This private glamping site is situated on a private ranch north of Lake Tahoe and is a wonderful choice for mountain bikers. There are over 30 miles of trails on the property and the host offers mountain bike and ATV tours for an additional cost. The site sleeps six campers and dogs and children are welcome.

J Tree Boulder Garden

Camping in Joshua Tree National Park is notoriously difficult to score so thankfully there are some pleasant camping options right outside the park. The J Tree Boulder Campground offers barebones camping just five minutes from the south entrance of the park. Just be warned that a five-minute walk is required to reach the campsite so you’ll have to carry your camping gear from the parking area. Other than that, this is a convenient child and pet-friendly camping option near Joshua Tree.
