1. Lis-Bon Acres

Fans of hobby farms will love this rustic campground situated in Southern Washington, just an hour’s drive north of Portland. The Tentrr site is a private area on the Lis-Bon Acres family farm, and you’ll be able to meet the resident alpacas, geese, and donkey on-site.

You’ll be close to Lake Merwin, where you can go swimming, kayaking, and water-skiing. When you want to kick back and relax after a long day hiking around Mt. St. Helens or Moulton Falls, you can settle down in one of the Adirondack chairs.

In the cooler months you can warm up by the wood burning stove and in the spring and summer you can roast marshmallows around the fire pit!

The camp owners offer a range of handy extras, including fresh bed sheets, a French press for coffee, homemade honey, and a dozen fresh farm eggs.

2. Lake Scanewa Getaway

Those wanting to get away from the bustle of day-to-day life in the city will love this campsite with its lakeside location and stunning natural beauty.

You’ll find yourself right next to Lake Scanewa, where you can go fishing and try your hand at kayaking with friends and family. There are plenty of woodland trails and sleepy lakeside paths nearby.

The stargazing opportunities are excellent. If you get a cloudless night, you’ll have a clear view of the moon and all the glorious night-sky constellations.
