This option might be for the more adventurous soul looking for a long term relationship with riding in the snow. Hamden Hill Ridge Riders, affiliated with NY State Snow Mobile Association, is more than just snowmobiling, it's about bringing the community together, and may be what you're after.

Snow tubing at Holiday Mountain
Throw the family in the car and head out for a day of fun for everyone at Holiday Mountain near Monticello! Race each other down the hill, or sit and watch the action with hot chocolate in hand. Please call ahead to check times and book, as snow tubing sessions sell out quickly.
The whole family will be ready for bed after a day on this hill.
Ice Skating at Windham Adventure Park
Take a break from the more strenuous activities and try your hand at skating at Windham's beautiful outdoor skating center. The large rink has a warming center and offers skate rentals, and the best part of family skating is the hot cocoa afterwards!
