Cowboy’s Starry Night
Up first we have Cowboy’s Starry Night. This camping in Arizona is located just east of Lake Havasu, a notorious destination for boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing—basically any water sport imaginable. In these parts, you’ll feel among the history of cowboys who used to roundup their cattle and ride off into the sunset (cinematic, we know). These are the high deserts of Arizona, where silver/gold mining is accessible and historical war artifacts are on heavy display.
Camp itself majestic—pure, desert tranquility! Set up your tent and go out hiking, biking, riding, or fishing for the day. Or, simply enjoy the peaceful desertscape.
Desert Sanctuary at Rincon Peak Campsite 2
South of Tucson, this site at Rincon Peak is really an oasis-like paradise (amazing sunsets and expansive starry skies included). This place is rich in history, for it contains the site of the Sri Ashram founded by famous Harvard Professor Timothy Leary. Within the restored buildings you’ll find a pottery studio and prayer house.
The camp itself, despite being a Backcountry Site, includes outdoor showers (hot and cold water), a game room (billiards and card table), fire pits, an Olympic pool, a hot tub, and an area for barbecuing. Aside from tent camping, cottage rentals are also on offer. This is an epic choice for camping in Arizona!
Stagecoach Stellar Glamping
Ready for the Tentrr Partner Site we promised? Here goes! While our backcountry sites usually come with very little amenities, our Partner Sites are privately owned glampsites that usually contain modern amenities located on the property. In the case of Stagecoach Stellar Glamping, you’ll have a canvas tent, comfy bed, ice chest, picnic bench, adirondack chairs, and some small coffee tables.
The site itself is located on the same land as Cowboy’s Starry Night. Thus, expect Havasu to be in easy reach with plenty of access to hiking, fishing, riding, and boating.
Heart of the Parks
Heart of the Parks earned its name for its unique location right between Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante, Horseshoe bend, and more! This Arizona camping offers privacy, sunset views, red bluffs, and good memories all around!

Zen Canyon Ranch
Our final Arizona camping offering is the Zen Canyon Ranch, located between Kingman and Flagstaff. Another place for high-desert dwelling, Zen Canyon doesn’t fall short of peace, privacy, wildlife, and evening stars. Another perk of this spot is being pretty off-grid while maintaining a close vicinity to resources and activities. Lake Havasu isn’t too far, and Laughlin is another choice to visit for some campers here.
