When you’re doing the daily grind, working in an office or a store, or even from a home office, it can seem like the wilderness is so far away. You’re in the urban jungle, and the rugged terrain of the great outdoors feels a million miles away.

But the truth is, it isn’t. There are 6,600 state parks in the United States, covering 14 million acres of land. They’re really all over the place if you know where to look, and you’re probably within an hour’s drive from one right now.

State parks can be mountainous, or they can be meadows. They can be waterfalls or deserts. They can be battlefields or beaches. State parks are all over the place, and it doesn’t take a lot of work to find the state park that will make the ideal getaway for you, no matter what you are interested in.

Glamping at State Parks

But a lot of people are afraid of camping because they remember bad experiences from camping as a kid, maybe as a Boy Scout or a Girl Scout, maybe with their adventurous family. They remember arriving by car at the campsite just before dark, struggling to set up the tent before the light was gone, never finding a comfortable place to sit, and generally getting dirty all the time. Does any of this sound familiar?

Glamping is the new way to camp. Glamping gives you all (well, most) of the creature comforts of a hotel while still letting you enjoy whichever state park you want to visit.

These glamping sites come with canvas tents already set up and ready, with fully equipped, safari-style wall tents. No more pop-up tents for you. You’ll be sleeping on a bed–a real bed–not on the rocky ground, where roots and pinecones and rocks dig into your back all night.

And the reason to choose glamping at state parks is because most state park sites include amenities like running water, sometimes even showers. They may have visitor’s centers and all the things that you could want from a state park campsite.

When looking to stay at a state park, state beach, or state lake, always look for one where there’s glamping. When you wake up warm and comfortable on your queen-sized memory foam mattress, in a large canvas tent, you’ll be glad you did.

Tentrr State Park Campsites

Tentrr has partnered with several state parks to make sure that we have the glamping facilities that you’re looking for. Imagine, watching the sunrise in the morning, over a fog-dusted lake, and instead of sitting on a rock on the dirt, you’re sitting on the porch to your glamping cabin, lounging in your Adirondack chairs. You get to be in the wilderness but you have the comforts of home.

Tentrr’s goal is to make camping as easy and as enjoyable as possible, breaking down all of the barriers that keep people from going camping, so that more will enjoy the outdoors and really have the chance to commune with nature.

Going camping should be a joyful experience, not a painful one. You should love every minute of it and not always worry about tracking dirt into the tent or struggling to raise your tent when the rains start to fall.

You should be able to enjoy the woods, the fields, the lakes, the rivers, just how you want to enjoy them, and leave all of the hassles of camping up to someone else to worry about–that’s us. Tentrr does the hard work for you, so that you can fully embrace nature.

Searching through the database of Tentrr glamping sites, reading the descriptions of the state parks and looking at the gorgeous photos is half the fun. After just a few minutes of scrolling through beautiful site after beautiful site, you’ll be dying to get out in the wilderness for yourself.
